Update - MIDDLESEX COUNTY RURAL BROADBAND PROJECT

Middlesex County and Bell Aliant are pleased to report that 12 towers (St. Mary's and Warwick are still in progress) are now in service.  There are 15 towers involved in this project.  Work is underway to complete the remaining 2 installations as quickly as possible. The only new tower is Ailsa Craig with an estimated construction completion this fall. Residents who are served by the 12 active towers can contact Bell at 1-866-242-0008, provide their phone number and municipal address and request service.  For some addresses, an indoor modem will be all that is required; for others that are further from our tower locations, a Bell technician will be required to come to these homes to install an outdoor modem (installation fee will apply).

The County has offered public information sessions in each of the municipalities of Middlesex County served by this project.  For further information please contact Marg Rule at 519-434-7321 x2338.

Parkhill Creek Bridge Report Cover

The County of Middlesex is proposing to replace the Parkhill Creek Bridge, located on McGuffin Hills Drive, just east of Godkin Road. The existing bridge was constructed in 1910 and is in poor condition. Bridge replacement is required. In addition, a wider bridge is needed to permit two-way traffic.

The proposed project is being planned under Schedule B of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA). Subject to comments received as a result of this Notice, and the receipt of necessary approvals, the County of Middlesex intends to proceed with the design and construction of this project.
